About Me
My name is Jonathan Alveno
A systems-minded learning leader with a passion for building training programs that scale, inspire, and evolve. From government training to professional learning ecosystems, I specialize in designing experiences that empower teams, support capability-building, and respond to the needs of global learners.

Expertise
I’ve spent my career designing learning systems that move fast without breaking learners. Whether leading cross-functional design teams or building automated production workflows, I believe great training is not just delivered, it’s designed with empathy, strategy, and intention.

Multi-industry experience
I’ve built a career designing learning that works in government, education, and global professional development. Whether leading training projects for the U.S. Department of State or guiding international design teams in the education sector, I’ve consistently delivered solutions that are both practical and forward-thinking.

Leadership & Systems Thinking
I believe good leadership is about clarity, not control . As a leader, I approach every project like a system: What needs to be repeatable? What needs to be adaptable? And how do we make it easier for good decisions to happen every day? That means establishing clear roles, consistent communication, and setting up efficient workflows.

Thoughtful designs
My goal is always to design learning that respects people’s time, supports their growth, and helps them do something better, not just know something more. I’ve helped teams improve quality and responsiveness by getting complete content specs upfront, simplifying design components, and documenting decisions that everyone can trust and act on.
Portfolio
Below is a collection of learning experiences designed to inform, engage, and inspire. Each project reflects my focus on clear visual storytelling, user-centered design, and scalable content strategies. From interactive video training and scenario-based modules to multilingual self-paced courses, these samples demonstrate how I translate complex ideas into accessible, behaviorally effective learning experiences across diverse industries and audiences.

Project highlight
University Career counsellors resource: This resource was designed to help counsellors and students understand university admission requirements in different countries around the world. The resource includes 14 countries to explore and was developed in three languages (English, Spanish, and French). The resource was created using Storyline with the all of the supportive graphics created in illustrator.

Video production
A quick look at how I turn ideas into learning experiences that move, teach, and stick. From storyboards to final cut, I have led full-scale green screen production and live-action coordinated recording for learning programs. Video brings learning materials to life and boosts retention, which is why I make multimedia a core part of every project I design.

eLearning modules
These eLearning modules are built for clarity, engagement, and real-world impact. From branching scenarios to microlearning moments, each one is designed to make learning stick on screen and in practice.
